The Rockford Diocese has generously offered to allow St. James begin construction once the Parish receives $3,000,000 in project pledges and the first $1,000,000 in cash.

Most merciful Father, you continuously bless us beyond all measure. We are especially thankful for the gift of our Faith that has been nurtured at St. James Parish. As we celebrate our past, we look to the future with hope. Bless our efforts in this capital campaign to build a new Church. Help us to see that what we build is not just brick and stone, but love, compassion and understanding among all people for we are building your Church, the holy city of God. Fill us with the fire of your Holy Spirit that we might face the challenges of our undertaking with courage, cooperation and generosity of heart. May our efforts to live as grateful stewards of your gifts be a source of blessing to all, especially our children. May we always praise you, our Lord and our God.
