Christopher Aune, Music Director
Christopher began studies in music at the age of thirteen, first with piano and some years later, the organ. He volunteered once monthly at his home parish and then obtained the position as organist at an area church. During the next eight years, he spent his time as the music director of several parishes in the Joliet Diocese and also assisting one in the Peoria diocese for a short duration prior to coming to St. James. He has worked with English, Spanish, and Latin hymnody, conducted multi-voice choirs, worked with the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, and is well-versed in Gregorian chant. He holds a certificate in Sacred Art and Sacred Music from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. He is a member of the Church Music Association of America.
