Mrs. VanAcker makes sure our middle school students know their English, helping them to consistently earn above average scores on the Iowa Basics standardized tests.
Mrs Van Acker and her family moved to Belvidere in 1987. She has been teaching at St. James since the middle school was added in 1993. She received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1978. Prior to St. James, Mrs. Van Acker taught at St. Mary's School in Mt. Sterling, IL and at St. Anthony's School, Loyal, WI.
Mrs. Van Acker and her husband Paul have 3 children, Katy, Keith, and Kimberly, and 4 grandchildren, Emma, Landon, Bethany, and Liam.
